Appiary (“the App”) is a macOS application developed to help Apple developers manage App Store Connect data more efficiently.
Your privacy and data security are extremely important to us. This policy explains what information Appiary collects, how it is used, and how we protect it.
1. Overview
Appiary is a local, native macOS app.
All metadata editing, translation, and submission operations happen directly between your computer and Apple’s official App Store Connect API using your own API credentials.
Appiary does not transmit, store, or share your App Store Connect data on any external servers operated by us.
2. Information We Collect
2.1. Account Credentials
- You connect Appiary to App Store Connect using your own Issuer ID, Key ID, and .p8 private key.
- These credentials are stored securely in your macOS Keychain and never leave your device.
- Appiary uses them only to generate short-lived JSON Web Tokens (JWTs) for authorized communication with Apple’s servers.
2.2. Application Data
- When you load or edit app metadata (titles, descriptions, screenshots, etc.), all data is retrieved directly from App Store Connect and stored locally in your Appiary cache or draft files.
- Drafts remain on your Mac until you choose to sync them.
2.3. Analytics Dashboard Data
- Appiary can display metrics such as downloads, revenue, and crash data retrieved from App Store Connect Analytics.
- This data is fetched via Apple’s API and cached locally for performance.
- We do not collect, store, or transmit your analytics data to our servers.
2.4. Optional Translation Requests
- When you use DeepL translation or other connected translation services, the text you translate is securely sent to the selected service provider’s API for translation.
- No copies are stored by us. You can disable translation integrations at any time.
2.5. Usage & Diagnostics (optional)
- Appiary may offer optional, anonymous diagnostic reporting to help us improve stability (e.g., crash frequency, feature usage counts).
- No App Store Connect content, credentials, or personally identifying information is included.
3. How We Use Information
We use information only to:
- Authenticate securely with Apple’s App Store Connect API.
- Display and edit your app data.
- Provide translations if you choose to use that feature.
- Improve reliability and user experience if you enable diagnostic reporting.
We never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties.
4. Data Storage & Security
- Credentials are stored in the macOS Keychain and protected by system-level encryption.
- Drafts and caches are stored in your user Library folder and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
- All API communications with Apple and third-party services use HTTPS/TLS 1.2 or higher.
5. Third-Party Services
Depending on your configuration, Appiary may communicate with:
- Apple App Store Connect API — to fetch and update app metadata and analytics.
- DeepL API or similar translation providers — for automatic translations if enabled.
- GitHub API — only if you connect GitHub Actions integration.
Each service has its own privacy policy governing how it handles transmitted data.
6. Your Choices
- You control whether Appiary connects to any third-party service.
- You can delete all local Appiary data and Keychain entries at any time.
- You can revoke your App Store Connect API key in Apple Developer Portal to instantly disable access.
7. Children’s Privacy
Appiary is designed for professional software developers and is not intended for children under 16.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Substantive changes will be announced on our website or release notes.
